Stoney Range Sauvignon Blanc
The 2016 Sauvignon Blanc has uncomplicated aromas of gooseberry, guava and passionfruit with some herbal hints. The palate is medium-bodied and dry to taste with flavours of tropical fruits, lime zest and a hint of cut grass. A light, crisp Sauvignon Blanc with plenty of juicy acidity and a lengthy, refreshing finish.
This wine is crafted in an exuberantly fruity style making it the perfect accompaniment to a variety of food styles. Enjoy on any occasion over the next two to three years.
Following harvest the fruit was gently pressed, settled and racked to fermentation. The juice was then cool fermented for 21 days and left on yeast lees contact for a further two months prior to blending, light fining, filtering and bottling.
The Stoney Range 2016 Sauvignon Blanc was produced from grapes grown in the heart of the Waipara Valley. The extended growing season of warm, fine days and cool nights ensured the fruit was harvested in wonderful condition mid April, 2016.
