All Sherwood Estate’s production and processing is done at our modern and fully equipped winery in Waipara, North Canterbury. Under the careful guidance of Senior Winemaker, Petter Evans the winery is responsible for all the fruit receival, crushing, pressing, fermentation, racking, filtering, and bottling.
The winery is fully accredited under Sustainable Winegrowers guidelines. The wine making team of Petter Evans, Ian Whiteaker and Chris Pattinson are dedicated to maximising the potential of every grape grown on the vineyards. They ensure that every bottle of wine that rolls off the bottling line meets the exacting standards and quality we have become known and respected for.
The winery is also home to our Head Office from where the administration, accounts, dispatch and marketing departments are based. This relatively unique situation allows us to manage all aspects of our wine production ensuring you get an exceptional wine experience with every bottle.
